What counts as "saving energy"?
A measurable reduction in kWh consumption on your test sites compared to your year-over-year baseline, normalized for any unusual weather variation. The full methodology is shared with every participant.
Who pays for the test deployment?
Cognition deploys at the 3 test locations with no cost during the 90-day test period. Hardware, install, software, and cellular connectivity are all on us. After the test, if you decide to keep the platform on those sites, standard platform pricing applies.
What does "free hardware on 10 locations" include?
Hardware, install, and cellular connectivity on 10 additional locations of your choice. You pay only the platform subscription on those sites. Deployment available within 12 months of qualifying.
What if my sites are already running an HVAC controls platform?
The savings math depends on a real baseline to compare against. Sites already running a modern controls platform with site-level monitoring don't have that baseline, so they're not eligible. Sites running basic thermostats with no remote monitoring are eligible.
Will this require IT or networking setup?
No. Cellular connectivity works out of the box. No Wi-Fi, no networking, no IT involvement. A backup Wi-Fi option is available if you prefer.
